Hotel Rival

All the staff were so friendly and helpful I really appreciated the recommendations I received when I checked in on surrounding places to visit. wide-ranging. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfortable with various high-quality pillows to choose from. I also loved having my bed turned down in the evening. The breakfast is delicious and wide-ranging to satisfy all palettes. We visited in February, so not balcony weather really. And yet it was mild enough one evening to sit out there briefly and enjoy the night air and view over Mariatorget. Thank you that there was furniture there and even flower boxes. All-in-all a fabulous stay. My husband and I regularly treat ourselves to long weekends away, testing different hotels in Stockholm, and Hotel Rival is one we will definitely return to. Centrally placed on Södermalm, it is easy to walk around this area of Stockholm or take the tube at the nearby station to any of the other islands.

Hotel Rival is my favourite hotel. It is also my family’s preferred place to stay. The rooms are home away from home. Whether its a good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed, having a hot shower or relaxing bath, enjoying the atmosphere of Mariatorget from a lovely balcony or sinking into cozy chairs to unwind with a cup of tea or coffee with little delicious treats. The breakfasts are feasts and absolutely delicious. The location is amazing, but what really makes Hotel Rival stand out are the wonderful people who take care of you. Like seeing old friends. Great stay. Loved the style of the hotel. Room was very spacious with a huge bathroom. Liked the fact that there were many pillow options and the choice of DVDs and CDs to play. Breakfast selection was great and the staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations.

An absolutely outstanding hotel in a beautiful city. Excellent central location close to Old Town. Our room upgrade and early checkin was really appreciated. Knowledgeable and friendly staff made our experience one that we wont forget. Highly recommended
