Scandic Malmen

Nothing but praise for the Scandic Malmen on our recent stay. Yes, things are in the process of renovation and upgrading but breakfasts are amazing in variety and good quality. Decently equipped and clean gym. An easy 10 minute walk to the Old Town and Harbour. Restaurant manager Isabella is so thoughtful and responsive and bar tenders are wonderful. Evening meals in restaurant at the end of long days out in the town were great in portion, taste and price. Really liked this place!

Great hotel, wonderful rooms, excellent bar but... It states it has car parking which it doesn't, the car park is private and across the road. Trying to pay is a nightmare from hell. If your driving don't stay here.

Our experience was great, and this isn't my first time at Scandic. As usual, my experience was excellent. The place is fantastic and close to everything. As a Scandic member, and needing 1,000 more points to become a GOOD Friend, it's definitely one of my favorite hotels. I've stayed at several Scandic hotels in Stockholm, and Scandic Malmen is one of them.nI loved its location; it's only a 20-minute walk to central Stockholm, Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace, and many other attractions. There are also many restaurants near the hotel, some of which stay open late, which is important for travelers. The rooms were good; we booked two: a standard room and a family room for two adults and a child. I wish the family room had been a bit bigger because with the addition of a third bed, it felt a little cramped, but it was still good overall. But the view from the family room isn't the best!nnI also hope that Scandic brings back the breakfast option included with the booking, without additional costs, so we can continue to enjoy our experience at Scandic hotels!

We stayed here a year ago and was really pleased with it this year I booked 2 roomskings roomsand was a bit disappointed the rooms were 2 floors down below ground but to my surprise I enjoyed them they were quiet and the ac kept them cool and the beds were really comfortable the only gripe I had was the fact there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room which we had the previous year. I think we’ll probably try elsewhere next year when we visit Stockholm it’s a shame really because the location is excellent
