Scandic Malmen

Really a party location, especially over the weekend, don't expect quiet surroundings. A lot of restaurants and bars around. Very good public connections and walking distance to city center. We enjoyed it, but not a place for family with small children or elderly in pension ;-

Our experience was great, and this isn't my first time at Scandic. As usual, my experience was excellent. The place is fantastic and close to everything. As a Scandic member, and needing 1,000 more points to become a GOOD Friend, it's definitely one of my favorite hotels. I've stayed at several Scandic hotels in Stockholm, and Scandic Malmen is one of them.nI loved its location; it's only a 20-minute walk to central Stockholm, Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace, and many other attractions. There are also many restaurants near the hotel, some of which stay open late, which is important for travelers. The rooms were good; we booked two: a standard room and a family room for two adults and a child. I wish the family room had been a bit bigger because with the addition of a third bed, it felt a little cramped, but it was still good overall. But the view from the family room isn't the best!nnI also hope that Scandic brings back the breakfast option included with the booking, without additional costs, so we can continue to enjoy our experience at Scandic hotels!

I had a pleasant stay at Scandic Malmen in June. The room wasn't very large, but it was clean and comfortable for two people. The breakfast offered a good variety of food.nnA special shoutout to Liam, who gave us earplugs and also helped us with a late check-out. He was incredibly thoughtful, and I really appreciated his kindness. Thank you, Liam, for making our stay even better!

A truly nice place, well located in Södermalm. Comfortable rooms, excellent access to public transport. Good breakfast and several restaurants and supermarkets close by.

I had a very disappointing and frankly unacceptable experience at this hotel.nnOn the night of Saturday, March 21st, my boyfriend and I lost our apartment keys and urgently needed a place to stay. We went to the hotel lobby and politely asked if there was any room available. The receptionist immediately said there were no rooms without even checking.nnWe then asked if she could recommend another hotel nearby, as it was cold, late at night, and I was in pain and struggling to walk properly. She simply said she didn’t know and told us we had to leave.nnWe asked if we could stay in the lobby for just 5 minutes while we searched for another hotel ourselves, since we had nowhere else to go at that moment. She refused again, in a very cold and dismissive way, and essentially pushed us out as if we were unwelcome intruders.nnI have traveled extensively and have never been treated with such lack of basic human decency by hotel staff. We were polite, respectful, and simply asking for minimal help in a difficult situation. Instead, we were treated with complete indifference and disrespect.nnThis was not just poor service. It was a total lack of empathy and professionalism. I would not recommend this hotel based on this experience.
