The staff was great, very friendly and accommodating. They changed our room as requested on arrival and it was ready for us.nnExcellent location, 10 minute walk to Old Town, boat excursions, 15 to the Nobel Museum. Taxis and Ubers readily available.nnThe rooftop bar has a fantastic view of the water ways, Old Town, sunset. Good service and they serve food!nnGreat experience, highly recommended, would gladly stay here again.

The hotel is a great value for its location. Just a few minutes walk to old town and many other restaurants and bars. Also very close to a large train station, making it easy to get to from the airport. The low cost allowed me to get the balcony room, which had a fabulous view of the harbor. Would highly recommended upgrading to this room.nnThe breakfast is included and delicious. A large buffet with many options.

The worst hotel I've been to in a long time. Breakfast is not organic, the dining room is far too small and you are taken to the basement down a steep staircase. Not a bit barrier-free. The rooms are dirty, small and hardly any storage space. The reception is completely overwhelmed. I will never book here again.

The location near the harbour and Viking line check-in was good. The room had a nice view of the harbour. The only minus goes to the check-in desk where the lady who serves me did not speak English well enough. Good value for money, recommend.

I recently stayed at Scandic Sjöfarthotellet during a business trip, and my experience left much to be desired. Despite booking through the company’s agreement and providing details for invoicing reference, I was required to pay for the stay on-site at a high price of 4400 SEK for 2 nights.nnThe room I was assigned was adapted for disabled guests, which did not align with my booking of a double room. The room felt like an old retirement home, with alarm buttons and handicap adaptations. Additionally, although I had chosen a double bed when booking, the room had two single beds pushed together that slid apart if we slept in the middle.nnDespite paying extra for a room with a window, the window was narrow and offered a nonexistent view.nnThe service deficiency continued when my colleagues and I wanted to eat and have a drink at the bar around 4 PM, only to find that it didn’t open until 6 PM. This forced us to leave the hotel and seek other options.nnIn summary, my stay at Scandic Sjöfarthotellet fell below expectations and was not worth the high price. For the price I paid, I expected a higher standard and better service. The only smooth part of the experience was the checkout, although I needed to remind them to provide the payment receipt. I have no plans to return here in the future.
